The Roadrunners took on South Florida in a game that was highly anticipated. They ended up winning 31 to 24. It was a conference game at the Alamo Dome. Both teams coming into this game were 4-1. Brian Hartline came out after he had gotten questioned about how the Alamo Dome gets so loud. He responded "I've heard that it's really loud there. I'm trying to figure out what the population size is, I don't know how it gets so loud if there's not a lot of people there." that he doesn't know how it gets loud there since there's not a lot of people. The Roadrunners came to prove that wrong.

The biggest story of the game was the Roadrunners coming back in the second half and A’Marion Peterson having three touchdowns. It was a slow start for both teams in the beginning. USF had more big plays. We didn't capitalize, and there were also a couple penalties. USF, on their first drive, got a 15 yard touchdown that was a walk-in touchdown. We responded towards the end of the first quarter with A’Marion Peterson's rush for a 53 yard touchdown. With about 11 seconds left in the first quarter, they broke out for a 42 yard touchdown pass. Michael Van Buren Jr. passed it, and it was caught by Bryson Rodgers for 42 yards. The second quarter was pretty quiet, both teams only having a field goal each.

Our offense was still a little shaky. We were able to get down the field, and A’Marion Peterson rushed for another three yard touchdown in the third quarter. We left them scoreless in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, we were able to capitalize off a field goal and another touchdown by A’Marion Peterson at the end of the game that was a game winner. But right before he had the game winner, we had given up a touchdown about two minutes left. Our defense had been playing lights out in the second half, only allowing one touchdown and nothing else after that.

Though it may not show it on the stat sheet as much, Owen McCown had a great drive, had a great game when he needed to show up for the team. It was a very great game by Owen McCown. He was able to make the right plays out of situations. Instead of forcing the ball down the field, he'd run and use his legs and go get that yardage. It wasn't just him. Will Henderson III had a long run at the end of the game that got him down to the one to set up A’Marion Peterson getting that touchdown.

I believe that UTSA can make a deep run and strongly believe that they could potentially win out the rest of this season. I think after watching their game versus UT, it proved that they are a very capable team of making a push and a good run. With UTSA being tied in their conference standing as number one, they have a chance to make a run and be number one in their conference this year.
